Hyderabad: White topping till 'Wipro Junction' by August 30
Hyderabad: Raghava Constructions, the contractor who has taken up road work in the financial district, has announced that white topping will be completed up to Wipro Junction by August 30.
This stretch of road, which has been blocked since May, will soon be available to IT employees who are confined to using a single road with one way traffic.
From September 1 onwards, two way traffic will be permitted up to Wipro Junction.
The company held a special meeting with volunteers, TSIIC officials and the traffic police, in which it was decided to improve the condition of the Nanakramguda Road which carries traffic towards Gachibowli. The road is narrow and severely damaged, but officials plan to have it re-laid.
“We have requested the GHMC to look into the relaying of alternate routes as the traffic gets held up on these narrow roads,” says Mr Ramandeep Singh, and official
The meeting suggested the initiation of a shuttle service from Gachibowli stadium to offices in the financial district, in order to ease the traffic at IIIT Junction.
“If we let people park their vehicles at the Stadium and use the shuttle, then there will be relatively less traffic on the roads. We have suggested this to the TSIIC,” said Ms Uma Mahesh, a volunteer.
