Hyderabad: 198 anti-drug awareness programmes held, says excise
Excise officials said that 142 colleges and 56 schools had participated in the awareness programmes.
Hyderabad: R.V. Chandravadhan, the commissioner of prohibition and excise, on Tuesday said his department has organised 198 anti drug awareness programmes over the last 30 days in all districts.
After the arrest of drug mafia in the city, it came to light that there were many students involved in the racket.
Following this, Mr Chandravadhan said that, his department had organised special programmes which include rallies, pledges, marathons, skits and plays, discussions, and public speeches in coordination with educational institutes.
Excise officials said that 142 colleges and 56 schools had participated in the awareness programmes.
