Twitter goes gaga as Swaraj sets straight Mangalore couple's derailed honeymoon
Mumbai: Be it Smriti Irani or Sushma Swaraj, NDA ministers know how to rake up a storm in the social media and endear them.
Coming to the aide of Mangalore-based photographer Faizan Patel, who could not execute his honeymoon plans after his wife Sana lost her passport, Swaraj, on Monday tweeted that a duplicate passport has been processed and Sana would soon be by his side.
“My office has reached you already. You will get a duplicate Passport tomorrow,” she Tweeted.
Fearing that he might have to travel alone, Patel had earlier tweeted, “Just two days before our trip, my wife's passport goes missing!!!”

“Seems like I am travelling alone tonight via TurkishAirlines. My wife has her passport misplaced. Fingers crossed that we find it soon,” he tweeted two days later.

Patel’s worst fears came true when he had to board the flight to Italy leaving behind his wife. Tweeting a picture of a vacant seat with his wife’s photo pasted onto it, Patel wrote, “This is how I am travelling with my wife as of now.”

But this time, he was sure to mark the MEA in his Tweet.
And soon enough, Swaraj came to the rescue.
“Ask your wife to contact me. I will ensure that she is with you on the next seat,” she responded to the tweet.

And soon enough, help was on its way. “My office has reached you already. You will get a duplicate Passport tomorrow,” she followed up.

The minister had earlier come to the aide of a Haryana-based man after his Khazak wife’s visa expired. The couple, who feared separation, were helped at the nick of time after she saw their plight reported in a newspaper.
