NIN research assistant in Eamcet leak
Hyderabad: A research assistant from the National Institute of Nutrition and a Jharkhand native were arrested by the CID for their alleged role in the Eamcet II question paper leakage.
CID identified the NIN research assistant as A. Ramakrishna of Nizamabad, and Shyam alias Guddu, a Jharkhand native from Mumbai. Officials said Guddu was the link between Nishad and Mayank Singh, who organised a practice camp for eight students at Mumbai with two sets of leaked question papers.
Nishad from Karnataka and Guddu hatched the conspiracy along with Iqbal, one of the prime accused, who is still at large. Guddu collected Rs 60 lakh from four parents of students who attended the camp and transferred Rs 50 lakh to Mayank Singh, CID officials said.
Ramakrishna allegedly arranged four students through his friend Rajesh and handed them over to Dr Gangadhar, a native of Chittoor. Dr Gangadhar along with two other students took them to Shirdi and made them practice the papers.
