Hyderabad: A 28-year-old convict jailed for life in a murder case escaped from the Cherlapalli open air jail/prisoners’ agriculture colony. Police said Harijan Govardhan from Mansanpally village in Kondapur Mandal of Medak district had disappeared. An official said that he was convicted for life eight years back and due to the good conduct, he was shifted to open air jail from the central prison.
