Kottayam: The Crime Branch has arrested two police officers of the Nedumkandam station over the custody death of Raj Kumar last month.
The CB sleuths recorded the arrest of assistant sub-inspector C.B. Rejimon and driver P.S. Niyas on Monday. Both were under suspension.
With this, the total arrests of officers have gone up to four. They had earlier held sub-inspector K.A. Sabu and civil police officer, Sajeev Antony.
On Monday evening, they took them to the Nedumkandam police station for evidence gathering.
Sabu Mathew, the SP of the CB who is investigating the case, summoned Mr Rejimon and Mr Niyas at their camp office and arrested them after eight hours of questioning.
According to the sources, the CB got more evidence against Rejimon and Niyas in the second stage of taking statements.
