KALPETTA: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on his first visit to his constituency here visited the MP facilitation centre in the district collectorate on the second day on Saturday and accepted memorandums and complaints from the public as well as representatives of various organisations.
He held a roadshow in town after that, followed by Mananthavady, Panamaram, Sulthan Bathery and Pulapalli.
Addressing a mammoth crowd, Mr Gandhi said that the doors of his house are open for all party workers.
"I am always with you and will work with you to improve the situation of the constituency," he said.
People who met him with grievances include farmers, tribals and other marginalised sections.
Mr Gandhi also held discussions with the local representatives, party leaders and officials.He found time to interact with local leaders on various issues of the constituency spread across Wayanad, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts.
He is expected to visit voters at Thiruvambadi and Mukkam in Kozhikode on Sunday before leaving for Delhi.
