Nirmal: Thirsty leopard falls into well, rescued
Due to extreme heat, the leopard had come out of the forest in search of drinking water and fell into an agriculture well.
Nirmal: Villagers and forest officers rescued a leopard who had fallen into a well as the animal had strayed into a village in search of water on Saturday.
According to information available, the incident occurred at Rajura village in Khanapur mandal which is 35 km from Nirmal and 100 km from Adilabad.
Due to extreme heat, the leopard had come out of the forest in search of drinking water and fell into an agriculture well.
A few villagers who spotted the animal fallen into the well immediately informed the forest officials.
A forest rescue team reached the spot and made a makeshift ladder using locally available wooden sticks and pieces of cloth.
After some effort, the leopard climbed the ladder and returned to the forests.
