Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis gets threat letters over anti-Maoist operations
Letter recovered from person held for Maharashtra violence.
Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ security has been beefed up by the home department after letters threatening him and his family members were received following several operations by security agencies in which Naxals were killed in April.
“I have received letters threatening my life and that of my family members. Those letters were handed over to the police and they are taking necessary steps and carrying out the investigation,” said the Mr Fadnavis.
The letters received by the CMO mentioned, “We are the people who believe in the ideology of Karl Marx. You can’t finish our thoughts by killing a few workers. We will take revenge for the police action in Gadchiroli.”
