Mallapuram: Sahodaya School Complex Malappuram in association with Learners Science Academy organised CBSE Talent Meet and Excellence Award distribution at Municipal Town Hall Malappuram on Wednesday.
The meet honoured 655 children with A1 in all subjects in CBSE Class X and 225 Class XII toppers in the district. The MES Engineering College Campus School Kuttippuram, Peevees Model School Nilambur and Airport Senior Secondary School Karipur received Sahodaya Excellence Awards for meritorious academic performance in the senior secondary.
District collector Venketesapathi inaugurated the function and distributed awards.
"The role of CBSE schools is significant in the academic development of the district, and the diversified activities of Malappuram Sahodaya are a model for others," he said. Sahodaya district president M Jouhar presided over the meet.
M.Abdul Nazar, the treasurer of All Kerala Sahodaya School Complex, delivered the keynote address.
Sahodaya Confederation president K. Unnikrishnan, Manjeri municipal vice-chairman E.P. Firos, Sahodaya officials Joji Paul, P Nizarkhan, Dr A. Sayeed, Nirmala Chandran, Fr Manoj Vettamthadathil, Sr Ancila and A. Sreelekha distributed different trophies.
The cultural performances of the students of Amrita Vidyalaya Manjeri added flavour to the entire programme.
