Three more mandals to make it easy for IT zone residents
The IT corridor will get three more revenue mandals after the government announces new mandals alongside new districts.
The Ranga Reddy district administration has sent proposals to the government for the formation of 10 more mandals along with a revenue division in the district.
Three revenue divisions were established earlier as per census 1985.
The N. Kiran Kumar Reddy government in 2013 created Rajendranagar and Malkajgiri divisions. At present, the IT corridor lies in two mandals — Balanagar and Seri Lingampally — in GHMC limits and Rajendranagar in panchayat raj limits.
As per the proposals sent to the government, Seri Lingampally mandal would be divided in two parts – Seri Lingampally and Kondapur/Madhapur. Balanagar is proposed be be divided into Balanagar and Kukatpally. Rajendranagar mandal – which has Kokapet, Narsingi, Puppalguda and Manikonda in the IT corridor – will be divided into Rajendranagar and Narsingi.
Seri Lingampally, Kondapur/Madhapur and Kukatpally will have all the 10 GHMC divisions of IT corridor and Narsingi will have a few gram panchayats.
Besides, Alwal, Domm-ara Pochampally, Jawah-arnagar, Pedda Shapur, Abdullapur and Meerpet will be announced as new mandals.
