CBI court seeks Viveka murder case diary

Hyderabad: The CBI court in Hyderabad on Tuesday directed the probe agency to furnish the case diary on May 11 while dealing with a bail petition filed by Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy, arrested on April 14 in connection with the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

The CBI had arrested Uday Kumar Reddy for allegedly destroying evidence at the scene of the crime. He is a close associate of Kadapa YSRC MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy. Uday Kumar Reddy told the court he had cooperated with the probe conducted by CBI and would attend to any summons.

The CBI objected, claiming he would tamper with the evidence if set free. The CBI said it wanted to examine some other persons, to corroborate Uday Kumar Reddy's statements.
