Hyderabad: The Telangana state High Court while adjourning the PIL seeking the re-evaluation of answer sheets of the Intermediate students to May 15 asked the board to submit the details and to declare how many students had passed out of as many as the 3.20 lakh students who had failed in the board examination conducted in March 2019.

The vacation court comprising ACJ Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Shameem Akther on Wednesday was dealing the petitions seeking re-evaluation of the 3 lakh odd answer scripts of the students, who had been failed in the exams.

As per the earlier directions of the court, the board was to inform the court on Wednesday about the number of students that had passed post the re-evaluation.

However, the board failed to submit the details.

The counsel for the petitioner, Mr Dhamodhar Reddy, appealed to the court to implead M/s Globarena Technologies private limited, as a respondent in the case, as the private agency was entrusted with the task of uploading the marks of the students.

The counsel explained that due to the sheer negligence and lackadaisical attitude of this agency, a number of students in the state had resorted to committing suicides. He requested time to file the implead petition.

Agreeing with the petitioner’s counsel request, the court adjourned the case to May 15.
