Nellore: JEO satisfied with pilgrim facilitation
Nellore: The Pilgrim Welfare Facilitation Service, (PWFS) aims at bettering the services being offered to pilgrims in Tirumala by TTD, said Tirumala in-charge joint executive officer B. Lakshmikantham.
The JEO, who inspected the Vaikuntam Queue Complex (VQC) compartments on Wednesday, interacted with pilgrims as well with Srivari Sevakulu, rendering the services at VQC-2.
Later, he also inspected the functioning of parakamani and observed the mechanism of folding roof at the Srivari temple.
After the inspection, speaking to mediapersons outside Tirumala temple, the JEO said, the PWFS was yielding satisfactory results.
“The services by volunteers at help desks, milk distribution centres, PWFS is incredible. We want to strengthen it further,” he added.
On Parakamani, the JEO said “under the instructions of TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal we have deployed required number of staff to carry out the backlog works.”
“We have also selected able-bodied workers who got retired from service to collect and carry the coin currency bags and ensure that there is no pending in counting and accounting process.
The JEO said, the retractable roof functioning has also been observed today. I have directed the concerned officials to complete the work on all sides providing shelter to pilgrims during inclement weather conditions, the JEO observed.
