Among others former Union minister from the DMK, T R Baalu, Thiruthuraipoondi MLA Adalarasan, and a number of people from nearby villages joined the funeral procession.
Tiruvarur: The body of Krishnaswamy, who unfortunately died of following a cardiac arrest due to apparent stress at Ernakulam in Kerala when he had accompanied his son Kasthuri Mahalingam to write the Neet exam there on Sunday, was cremated at his native village Vilakkudi near Tiruvarur on Tuesday.
