YS Jagan Mohan Reddy vows contracts to youth, 2.3 lakh govt jobs

Jagan said that only a few contractors are getting all the contracts and their monopoly should be broken.

Kakinada: YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy promised that if voted to power a law would be enacted to give government contracts in different departments to unemployed youth.

Addressing a large gathering in Indrapalem of Kakinada rural mandal of East Godavari on Monday, Mr Jagan said that only a few contractors are getting all the contracts and their monopoly should be broken. He said the youth in the state should get an opportunity to make a mark in the development of the state and the YSRC government would enact a law to make it easy for youth to get contracts.

He also said another law reserving 75 per cent of jobs to locals in industries coming up will also be passed. He said that he would fill 2.3 lakh government jobs and a job calendar would be issued in January 1 each year for job notifications.
