Hassan: Hassan BJP MLA Preetham Gowda is reportedly trying to influence Congressmen saying that defeat of JD(S) nominee Prajwal Revanna, son of Minister for Public Works H.D. Revanna, would be the best thing to happen in Hassan and would also keep the minister ‘quiet’.
The JDS-Congress coalition candidate Prajwal, 28, is making his electoral debut from Hassan Lok Sabha seat replacing his grandfather and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda.
Mr Deve Gowda having given the seat to Prajwal, is contesting from neighbouring Tumakuru. In a video clip that went viral in Hassan, Congress party workers and Hassan district Congress vice-president Narayana Gowda are seen seated next to Preetham Gowda who is heard asking Congress workers to defeat the JD(S) saying if the morale of JD(S) workers remains high, it will be dangerous for Hassan.
In the clip, Preetham Gowda reportedly tells Congressmen that Prajwal is not mingling with party leaders and also alleges that he is adamant which might go against him in the poll.
