Mercury rises in Telangana

Hyderabad: Temperatures have once again started rising in the state with the mercury touching 41º Celsius in Adilabad, Hanamkon-da, Mahbubnagar, Med-ak, Nizamabad and Ramagundam with the thunderstorm effect subsiding in a few places.

However, in some parts of the city near Gachibowli, there were hailstorms and rain accompanied by gusty winds.

There were also complaints of trees getting uprooted in the areas of Jubilee Hills, Ambedkar College, Journalists Colony and a few others due to heavy winds and rain. Rains lashed Ghanpur, Trimulgherry and Pedda Adiserla Palle, according to the IMD.

The temperature in the city has dropped to 38.5º Celsius, and is expected to rise, fluctuating between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius more than the normal temperature in the coming days.
