Kottayam: The team investigating the sexual harassment charge raised against Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal by a nun of the Missionaries of Jesus congregation will present the chargesheet on Tuesday.
The chargesheet to be presented at the first class judicial magistrate court, Pala, was prepared after consultation with experts in criminal investigation and by incorporating the suggestions of top police officials. Kottayam district police chief S. Harisankar told DC that the police had fine-tuned the chargesheet and minor corrections were incorporated based on the suggestions of the state police chief.
The team received the DGP's nod to present the chargesheet a few days ago. The government had appointed Jithesh G. Babu as the special prosecutor in the case.

Franco Mulakkal on September 21 on various charges, including rape, illegal detention, harassment and threat on the basis of criminal intimidation.
The sisters at the St Francis Mission Home at Kuravilngadu had warned of an indefinite agitation alleging delay in presenting the chargesheet.
