Kalaburagi: Udbhavmoorthigalu will be sent packing, says Priyank Kharge

Minister hits back at former Congmen Chinchansur, Guttedar and Umesh Jadhav.

Kalaburagi: Minister for Social Welfare Priyank Kharge, who is under fire from three former senior leaders of the Congress - Malikayya Guttedar, Baburao Chinchansur and Dr Umesh Jadhav - tried to turn the tables on them remarking "these three Udhbhavmoorthigalu will be sent home packing after the coming Lok Sabha election".

Speaking to the media here, Mr Priyank referred to Dr Jadhav's allegation that the Congress was in the clutches of a family and retorted, "do we not know which private limited company pulls the strings in Chincholi (the constituency represented by Dr Jadhav)".

Referring to Dr Jadhav joining the BJP, Mr Priyank contended that the BJP had humiliated him. "Did anybody take Mr Jadhav's name in their speeches? Even though the BJP has not yet officially declared him as their candidate, Dr Jadhav is already posing as the BJP candidate. The BJP may betray Dr Jadhav the way it did to Mr M.Y. Patil. Let anybody contest against us, we know how to win the election", Mr Priyank asserted.

He expressed his resentment over the PM's remark on Wedneday that the State government had erected a wall to block the flow of Union government's benefits to the farmers in Karnataka. "The PM should be ashamed of making such comments. What has he done for the farmers? Despite our repeated plea for waiver off the loans taken from nationalised banks, Mr Modi turned his back on the plea. Moreover it is ridiculous that Mr Modi terms somebody (Mr Kumaraswamy) as a remote - controlled CM when actually he is under the remote-control of RSS", Mr Priyank remarked.
