DC Impact: War widows can approach welfare association

Chennai: Responding to a DC report of a BSF person serving in the border about the desperatesituation  in which his mother was living in Salem district and appealed for help for her, Mrs Susheela Rajendran, founder president of the War Widows Welfare Association, says the association serves the objective of taking care of such families in need.

“We have residential facilities with food, medical assistance and physiotherapy and can extend these facilities to such families as long as they need and even till their last days.

The facilities are extended to kin of  CRPF and BSF personnel too.  “We have our own building with all facilities, in Mandaveli, Chennai and can be contacted by phone - 044 2464 0092.
