Bengaluru: The state BJP has came down heavily on PWD Minister H.D.Revanna for his ‘objectionable’ remarks on actress Sumalatha while criticising her attempts to seek the Congress ticket from the Mandya Lok Sabha seat.
Senior BJP leader Suresh Kumar condemned the remarks of Mr. Revanna and asked his father and JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda to advise his son on this regard.
Mr. Suresh Kumar said, "it has become a habit for Revanna to make such remarks nowdays. He is under the impression that he can make such statements and get away. But Mr Revanna will get a befitting reply soon for making derogatory statements on Ms Sumalatha", he said.
“Mr. Ambareesh had fans across the state and Ms Sumalatha is asking for a Lok Sabha ticket considering the services of her husband to the Congress party. Therefore the remarks of Revanna against her are not dignified. We can only bow our head after hearing his remarks against her. At least the family members of Mr. Revanna should guide him on behaving properly in public life, Mr. Suresh Kumar opined.
