Alleged examination pressure drove two students to suicide at LB Nagar on Thursday.

Hyderabad: Alleged examination pressure drove two students to suicide at LB Nagar on Thursday. The two girls, Kale Sravani, 15, and Bhargavi Patel, 15, SSC students at Akshara International School, jumped from the eighth floor of a building where Bhargavi lived.

Police found a note near their bodies which read "Teju I miss you. Pls don't cry." The two girls were classmates and preparing for the ongoing Pre final examinations at the school together. On the fateful afternoon, Sravani came to Bhargavi's house at TNR Vaishnavi Shikara Apartments, for studies. Around 6.30 pm, the girls walked to the eighth floor balcony and jumped off from there. Both died on the spot. The girls had taken their first exam and were preparing for the second exam to be held on Friday.

Police suspect that they took the extreme step out of examination pressure. However, other angles are also being probed. Police also are verifying the note left behind, reportedly by one of the girls before jumping to death. A suspicious death case was registered and the bodies were shifted for autopsy.
