Vijayawada: Nara Lokesh, four others from the Telugu Desam and two from the YSR Congress have been unanimously elected as Members of the Legislative Council, under the MLAs’ quota on Wednesday. The Assembly authorities scrutinised the nominations found all of them to be in order.
Four others from the TD include Karanam Balaram and Pothula Sunitha from Prakasam, Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad from Guntur and Bachula Arjunudu from Krishna. The YSRC candidates include Gangula Prabhakar Reddy from Kurnool and Alla Nani from West Godavari.
