Posters against P P Mukundan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Posters against former BJP general secretary P. P. Mukundan have sprung up against him in his hometown, Manathana in Kannur. But, Mukundan has got the support of several leaders within the BJP including former Kottayam district president Ettumanoor Radhakrishnan. But then again, BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan has reacted saying that now was not the right time to discuss Mukundan’s comeback.
When the handwritten posters against Mukundan went viral on social media sites, K. R. Vijayan, deputy vice-president of Shiv Sena, called him up and apologized saying his party followers had not written it. After news broke on Mukundan’s decision to contest the elections, none of the State BJP leaders have responded. But one of the BJP general secretaries told DC that the ball was in the court of the central RSS leadership to take a final call on Mukundan’s return to the party.
