HYDERABAD: Telangana continued to record a fall in new cases, as 1,061 cases were reported on Tuesday, 319 less than the 1,380 cases recorded on Monday.
One person died and 3,590 recovered from the virus on the day, according to the bulletin on the status of Covid-19 issued by the health department. A total of 69,892 tests were conducted, and the number of active cases dropped to 21,470.
The number of new cases in the GHMC limits dropped from 350 to 274. Both Medchal Malkajgiri and Ranga Reddy districts reported 78 cases, followed by Nalgonda with 45 cases.
Four districts now have either 100 per cent or more coverage of the first dose for teens in the 15-17 years age bracket, with Bhadradri Kothagudem joining Hanmakonda, Mahbubnagar and Khammam. Mahbubnagar has already achieved 58 per cent of second dose coverage too for the teens, while the coverage in Hyderabad is 14 per cent.
