THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Power Minister Kadakampally Surendran on Thursday said Binoy Kodiyeri issue was being deliberately raised by a section of people to tarnish the image of the CPM. He said there is an attempt to target a major political movement like CPM in the name of these cases as there is no other issue to raise against the party.

While indirectly justifying Mr Binoy's business involving crores of rupees, the minister said most top NRK businessmen in the world had a humble beginning. For these businessmen who grabbed the attention of the world, the biggest capital was their hard work. "You can ask these top businessmen from where they got the capital and efficiency. So the allegations that are being raised are unfounded," he said.
