Hyderabad: Dr O. Srinivas Reddy, chairman of Jagruthi Group of Institutions, was nominated to the UoH Executive Council by President, in his capacity as the visitor on February 5. Students protested stating that Dr Reddy had been president of the ABVP in 1990-91 and was a BJP member.
Interim V-C Dr M. Periasamy said the nomination process must have started three months ago with the UGC preparing a list of nominees. One of the accused in the complaint after the death of Rohith Vemula is an ABVP member.
