Sannidhanam visitor Bindhu wards off protesters in Kovai
Coimbatore: The 42-year-old teacher Bindhu who recently entered Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa shrine creating a huge controversy in Kerala, escaped through the back gate of a school near Anaikatty in Coimbatore after knowing that people have gathered in front of the school to attack her.
According to a source, Bindhu, a teacher from Kozhikode in Kerala recently entered Sabarimala shrine along with another woman, sparking serial protests, and leading to a law and order issue in Kerala.
After people from her home town turned against her, Bindhu got a transfer recently and came down to Sambarpoor near Agalai in Palakkad district close to Tamil Nadu border.
Meanwhile, on Monday Bindhu along with her nine-year-old daughter, travelled 20-km from Agalai and reached Coimbatore -Anaikatty, inside Tamil Nadu border, for the school admission of her daughter.
While she was inside a private school near Thuvaipathy, public from the same area along with Ayyappa devotees gathered in front of the school on knowing of her visit, raised slogans condemning her.
On hearing about the public protest outside the building, Bindhu escaped through the back gate of the school, added the source.
