Hyderabad: No respite to traffic snarls at Ranigunj rail overbridge
The road has become extremely narrow and commuters complain of being stranded in hour-long traffic jams during peak hours every day.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) has been ignoring the severe traffic snarls that occur under the railway bridge near Bible House in Ranigunj which connects Hyderabad with Secunderabad.
The road has become extremely narrow and commuters complain of being stranded in hour-long traffic jams during peak hours every day.
HRDCL says it has sought permission from the South Central Railway for extension of the bridge or providing an alternative route by acquiring land.
Sharing his experience, Mr Edwin Paul, who takes the road daily, said people from across the state come to purchase goods in the Bible House vicinity as it is surrounded by electronics shops, a general bazaar and wholesale shops. He said the road has become extremely narrow and traffic snarls are reported every half an hour.
HRDCL says the stretch has been handed over to them only recently by the roads and buildings department. Officials said that they will write to the railways department to provide a solution for the RuB at Ranjgunj and also at MG Road, Secunderabad, Bolaram and Malakpet.
