Hyderabad: A 17-year-old student was run over while getting down from an RTC bus near the Katta Maisamma temple on Lower Tank Bund Road on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Mohammed Shah Saimiuddin, an Intermediate student in a private college at Mehdipatnam.
Chikkadpally sub-inspector P. Bala Raju said, “Saimiuddin was going to his house in Domalguda and was travelling on the bus on Route number 113I/M. When the bus reached the Katta Maisamma temple on Tower Tank Bund Road, he tried to get down at 2.10 pm.”
The student apparently lost his footing and came under the rear wheels of the bus.
The student was identified by his identity card.
The Chikkadpally police booked a case of Causing death by negligence against the RTC driver and a probe is on. police shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for the post-mortem examination.
The family has been informed, police said.
