Hyderabad: Man dies of cardiac arrest at poll booth
Narasimha had gone to the polling booth to cast his vote, suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed.
Hyderabad: An elderly man who went to cast his vote at Booth No. 18 in Gundrampally died of cardiac arrest near the polling station.
The victim was identified as Seema Narsimha, 50, a native of Gundrampally in Chityal mandal of Nalgonda district.
Narasimha had gone to the polling booth to cast his vote, suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed.
He died while being shifted to a hospital for treatment. Former MLA Vemula Veeresham expressed his condolences to the family and offered financial help.
In another incident, an elderly woman who was returning home after casting her vote in the city was killed when she was hit by a speeding vehicle.
The woman who was in her late 60s, died on the spot.
