Hyderabad: Accusing the state government of cheating the workers and the Telangana High Court with false statements about the RTC, TSRTC employees and workers unions’ JAC convener E. Ashvathama Reddy said that the strike would continue until their demands are not fulfilled.
While responding to the High Court’s observations against senior officers with regard to the financial position of the RTC, he said that the court’s adverse comments were not only against the bureaucrats but also indirectly against the Chief Minister. He made it clear that their proposed ‘Million March’ would be held at Tank Bund on November 9 as planned and urged the public to participate in the programme.
The High Court asked the government to spell out its stand on releasing Rs 47 crore to the RTC, which will pave the way to hold talks between both parties connected to the strike, he said. He asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to spare 90 minutes for them so that issues will resolve rather than holding marathon reviews with officials every day for about 8 to 9 hours.
