Chennai: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday said the decision of demonetisation of higher currency gave a major blow to terrorism.
"The biggest achievement of demonetisation is that terrorism has been badly hit and the stone pelters who were in thousands have reduced because their cash flow was cut," Sitharaman said in Chennai.
The Defence Minister also attended a signature campaign organised by Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Youth Wing in Chennai to observe the Anti-Black Money Day.
BJP Youth Wing organised this event against the Congress party 'Black Money Day'.
