BBMP goes hi-tech: Report potholes through app

Potholes identified by public on the app should be filled by the engineer concerned within 48 hours.

Bengaluru: An android app ‘pothole reporter’ will be set soon to enable the public to upload the potholes and the same will be sent to engineers concerned for action. The engineers have claimed that 95 per cent of potholes on main roads and about 98 per cent of potholes at ward level have been covered. However, public can be a better judge on the same, said N. Manjunath Prasad, BBMP Commissioner. Potholes identified by public on the app should be filled by the engineer concerned within 48 hours, failing which they would have to face the music, he warned and added that he had already inspected areas such as Hebbal, Yelahanka, Sarvagnanagar, C.V. Raman Nagar constituencies and Mysuru Road.
