Attack on photojournalists in Mumbai: 2 more held; total arrested 7

With their arrest, police have now apprehended all the seven accused named in the FIR, said the official said.

Mumbai: Two more persons were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the assault on photojournalists at the Tata Group's headquarters 'Bombay House' in Mumbai, police said.

Two more security persons were apprehended after they were identified by the photojournalists, injured in the assault, a senior police official said.

The two who were apprehended on Tuesday have been identified as Swapnil Chasksr and Pravin Ramesh Salunkhe, he said.

With their arrest, police have now apprehended all the seven accused named in the FIR, the official said.

Three security personnel Shankar Ayyar, Ashok Bamne and Manvir Prajapati were arrested on Monday.

Police had earlier arrested Ganesh Shinde and Mayuresh Gurav in connection with the case.

Photojournalists from Times of India, Mid-Day and Hindustan Times were beaten up by the guards on duty at Bombay House last Friday when the ousted Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry arrived to chair the board meeting of Indian Hotels.

Condemning the attack, the Mumbai Press Club had demanded that services of the security agency TOPS group which supplies guards to Tata Group be terminated.
