Karimnagar: A three-day 'Kisan Grameen Mela' will take place at Padmanayaka Kalyana mandapam in Karimnagar from October 9 to 11. The event is organised by the Kisan Jagran Association, aimed at bolstering the economic prospects of dairy farmers, fishermen, shepherds, and those involved in poultry business. This announcement was made by Polsani Sugunakar Rao, the president of the association and senior leader of the BJP, in a statement released in Karimnagar on Saturday.
Sugunakar Rao emphasised that the Kisan Grameen Mela seeks to raise awareness among farmers and rural residents about the adoption of advanced practices in dairy farming, fisheries, poultry, and cattle industries. It also aims to provide knowledge about science and technology while creating new business opportunities for economic growth.
The mela will host national and international organisations, as well as representatives from various states, who will set up stalls featuring a range of products including drones, solar items, soil testing labs, bio-fertilizers, dairy and poultry equipment, livestock, and medicinal plants.
These products and machinery will be available at discounted rates during the event. This gathering will unite all stakeholders in agriculture production, offering practical learning opportunities for dairy and poultry farmers, fishermen and shepherds. Daily conferences and workshops will showcase innovative methods and success stories from progressive farmers in their respective fields, serving as inspiration for attendees, Sugunakar Rao said.
Importantly, the Kisan Gramin Mela is organized independently of any political affiliations, solely for the benefit of the farming sector. Sugunakar Rao earnestly urged farmers and rural residents to take advantage of this opportunity by attending the mela in large numbers and contributing to its success.
