Hyderabad: A GHMC garbage collector was on Monday arrested for stealing a mobile from a house on the pretext of collecting garbage.
Malkajgiri police said Mekala Babu, 24, entered the house of M. Shilpika, a housewife, for collecting garbage. While doing so, he saw a mobile lying there and stole it.
Finding the mobile missing, Shilpika lodged a complaint with the police. They booked a case and following investigation nabbed the accused for theft.
