BSNL to set up 80 3G towers in East Godavari
Rajahmundry: State-owned telecom major BSNL will set up 80 3G cell towers in East Godavari as part of its efforts to expand and modernise its services in the district.
BSNL general manager M. John Chrisostom told newsmen here on Saturday that they were going to install 80 3G mobile phone towers including 33 in Rampachodavarm agency and 43 WiFi hot spots across the district to help subscribers get better connectivity.
He said that they were offering call transfer facility from the BSNL land phone to BSNL mobile phone at the rate of Rs 99 per annum. In case of call transfer from BSNL land phone to mobile phone of other network, annual tariff would be Rs 199, he added. He said that they were getting good response for newly launched Rs 429 plan with free SIM and one GB free data per day and unlimited voice calls to any network.
