ACB files FIR against Ananth Kumar, Yeddyurappa over leaked video
New Delhi: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday filed an FIR against Karnataka BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa and Union minister Ananth Kumar on the basis of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report in which the lab cleared the voice of both the leaders in a leaked video where they spoke about money transaction done by local political leaders to their high commands.
Yeddyurappa told ANI that the ACB is doing it on purpose and added that the bureau has become an agent of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
"ACB is doing this intentionally because Siddaramaiah has bent it. He has failed to get Ananth Kumar and me. We are ready to face the ACB with such baseless allegations. ACB has become a 'pakka' agent to the Chief Minister," he added.
In the video clip, there is a purported conversation between Yeddyurappa and Kumar in which the two can be seen deliberating on how to politically use allegations made against Siddaramaiah that he paid Rs 1,000 crore to the Congress high command to stay in power.
Now after the report was given by the FSL, the ACB has filed an FIR against both the BJP leaders.
