Mysuru: Rs 59 crore project to house 28 district level offices under one roof
Mysuru: Another architectural marvel and a replica of the Lalit Mahal palace—to house all 28 district-level offices under one roof—will be built in Mysuru, the heritage city at a cost of Rs 59 crores.
The foundation stone for this two-floor DC office complex was unveiled by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here on Friday.
“We have released more than Rs 1,800 crores, and will release more, for construction of new buildings, a facelift for heritage structures and many more projects in Mysuru district. We are proud of this city as it has been regarded the cleanest city and one free of open defecation in the entire country,” he said at an event organized to mark the launch of many developmental projects.
District in-charge minister Dr H C Mahadevappa lauded Mr Siddaramaiah for his commitment to developmental schemes, and for resuming official responsibilities a day after his son’s demise.
Mr Siddaramaiah also unveiled foundation stones for construction of ‘Glass House’ at a cost of Rs 5.95 crores at Nishad Bagh, inaugurated Panchakarma Ayurveda hospital built at a cost of Rs 7.50 crores, high tech Ayush hospital built at a cost of Rs 8.33 crores, and a 100 feet road infront of the new DC office building site.
In the evening, Mr Siddaramaiah felicitated 16 sportspersons and presented them Ekalavya awards, ten with the ‘Karnataka Kreeda Rathna’ awards, and two coaches with the life time achievement awards.
