Ganesha festival: KSRTC to run more buses

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate 1,000 plus additional buses on September 11 and 12 to clear the rush on account of Gowri-Ganesha festival in Bengaluru.

The corporation will operate special buses from Kempegowda bus station to Dharmastala, Kukke Subramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubli, Dharwad, Belagavi, Bijapur, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi and other places.

Special buses from Mysore Road satellite bus station will head towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar and Madikeri routes. Special buses will also operate from Shanthinagar TTMC to Madurai, Kumbhakonam, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Also special buses will be operated from Sri Basaveshwara Bus Station, Vijayanagara, Jayanagar 4th Block, Jalahalli Cross, Navarang(Rajajinagar), Malleshwaram 18th Cross, Banashankari, Jeevanbheemanagar, ITI Gate, Ganganagar, Kengeri Satellite Town to Shivamogga, Davanagere, Tirupathi, Mangaluru, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukkesubramanya, Dharmastala and other places based on the traffic potential.

Advance reservation of tickets for the special and scheduled buses of KSRTC can be booked through 707 counters in Karnataka & other States. A discount of 5 per cent on the fare will be extended, if four or more passenger’s book tickets in a single ticket and a discount of 10 per cent would be offered on return journey ticket if booked simultaneously.
