Buy BDA apartment, get 5% discount, says Dr G Parameshwar
Bengaluru: People planning to buy apartments constructed by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will get a discount of 5 per cent, while anyone buying more than 10 apartments will get a 10 per cent discount, said Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Dr G. Parameshwar, during a meeting with BDA officials.
After the meeting, Dr Parameshwar said that the discounts will be applicable for apartments on Mysuru Road. This is to generate revenues for the BDA and to take up more new projects.
“During the meeting, it was decided that houses will be built on the 3,564-acre land in 17 villages in Dr Shivaram Karanth Layout. The Supreme Court will also notify about this in another three months. The matter will be discussed within the government and decision will be taken. Another project discussed at the meeting was the construction of peripheral ring road. This will also be discussed with the government. For this project, around Rs 5,000 crore is the estimated cost and a private company will handle the construction work,” he said.
During the meeting, several other projects were also discussed. A few have been approved by BDA officials and these will be discussed with Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and other authorities and the decision will be taken at the earliest, he said.
