Telangana Rashtra Samithi provoking students against Rahul Gandhi visit

Hyderabad: The TPCC on Tuesday alleged that the TRS was provoking its student's wing of in the Osmania University against AICC president Rahul Gandhi's visit to the campus. TPCC spokesperson Gajjela Kantham on Tuesday said that the people of Telangana welcomed the Congress chief's visit to the state. He alleged that the TRS was provoking the Osmania students saying that Mr Gandhi did not visit the campus when1,200 students sacrificed their lives for a separate Telangana state.

Mr Kantham alleged that it was the TRS leaders and the KCR family who instigated the students to sacrifice their lives during the Telangana movement. Mr Kantham said the sacrifice by the students was one of the reasons which prompted UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to grant separate Telangana state. The TPCC spokesperson asked the students to question Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao about implementation of his assurances. He said Mr Gandhi was coming to Telangana to question about these assurances by the CM and to expose how he was cheating the people.
