Hyderabad: About 26-suspects including rowdy sheeters were nabbed following a cordon and search operation carried out by the West Zone police at Golconda. Geotagging Technology was used. Eight stolen vehicles were recovered. 62 bikes, which did not have proper documentation were taken from the residential colony. A migrant settlement was raided too, as police suspected that many offenders have taken shelter there. A senior police official said, “This was to verify their background and find, if they were involved in any recent offences in city.” said a senior official from West Zone. Officials said that the aim of cordon and search was to build confidence and sense of safety among the public and to protect them from harm and abuse of anti social elements. More than 500 cops participated in the search that was conducted following inputs from crime team that several offenders are hiding in these colonies.
