Rain cools Hyderabad
The forecast for the state from August 8 to 12 is light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms at a few places in the state.
Hyderabad: Commuters were caught unawares by a sudden spell of rain on the Osmania University campus on Monday.
The Met department recorded 2.6 cm of rain at Quthbullapur, 1.8 cm at Ramachandrapuram and 1.5 cm at Golconda.
The weather bureau said the rainfall was caused by a trough extending from Chhattisgarh to coastal Tamil Nadu across north Telangana and the AP coast.
It is expected that the trough would revive the monsoon rain. The forecast for the state from August 8 to 12 is light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms at a few places in the state.
Mainly dry and humid weather conditions prevailed over the state and the temperatures are expected to dip due to the rain. As of Sunday, the state faced a 14 per cent deficit in rainfall.
