Hyderabad: Haj House may face water shortage due to the non-payment of water bills. Six months ago— the HMWS&SB disconnected the supply as arrears were not paid. The Haj camp will begin on August 13 and 8,000 persons are expected to stay at Haj House.
“We have informed private water tankers. Without water we cannot conduct the camp,” said an official of Telangana State Haj Committee. State Haj Committee officials had brought to the notice of the TS Wakf Board which is incharge of payments such as water, electricity etc about the problem. “They have levied penalty on arrears and we will settle it. It will be done in a day or two,” said an official of TS Wakf Board.
