K Chandrasekhar Rao praises modi, seeks his blessings, gives wish list
Hyderabad: In a wholesome praise of the Centre, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday said the Narendra Modi-led Union Government is the “first-corruption-free government” in independent India.
Addressing a public meeting at Gajwel on Sunday, Mr Rao profusely thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 20-minute speech in Hindi, for the generous help that the Centre is extending to the new state.
I seek only blessings: KCR
“I am in public life for nearly 40 years. I can say without doubt that this is the first Central government which is 100 per cent corruption-free. I have seen the functioning of this government for the last two years and I can say with certainty that this government is not corrupt and the credit for this goes to Prime Minister Modi. Whether one agrees to this or not, this fact will remain etched in the history forever,” he said, drawing applause from the large gathering.
The Chief Minister said he would use the present occasion to seek more love and blessings of Mr Modi for TS, than funds. “I will not seek Rs 50,000 crore or a Rs 1 lakh-crore package. I know there are limits for any government in sanctioning of funds. I want to seek your love and blessings for Telanga-na,” Mr Rao said.
All the same, he sought liberal Central assistance for irrigation projects, Mission Kakatiya, ITIR, and setting up of AIIMS, IIM etc. He also urged Mr Modi to accord “national status” to an irrigation projects in TS.
