Hyderabad: Two cases of dengue have been confirmed at a house in Borabanda in the city. Doctors said Dinesh Srivastav, 14, and his sister Swetha, 12, had tested positive for dengue.
Both were undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Motinagar. Hospital officials said GHMC and district medical and health officials had been informed.
The siblings were admitted on Wednesday but dengue was confirmed on Saturday. Their condition was said to be stable.
A senior health official said they had been informed on Saturday evening. “We will carry out an awareness programme in the locality from Monday,” he said.
Corporate hospitals said there was a steady flow of patients suffering from dengue-like symptoms and they are informing to the government departments.
