OOTY: The PMK leader Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, wanted the Tamil Nadu government to refocus on rain water harvesting schemes to save maximum quantities of water during the monsoon seasons.
Addressing the media persons here, wherein he took part as chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of national masters badminton tourney, he said that the state government should create infrastructure at every taluk level to give fillip to promote shuttle and badminton in the state to encourage talents in rural limits.
Adverting to other issues, he said that there is urgent need to de-silt all the water bodies across the state to enhance the water storage capacities in them, besides checking illegal sand quarrying along the water sources.
Anbumani said he would take up water management and total prohibition issues in the Rajya Sabha.
